4 Steps to Make Renting a Dumpster Successful
When you’re looking to rent a dumpster, you’ve got a big project in front of you. So, the last thing you want is additional complications as part of that dumpster rental. With over 50 years in business, LeBoeuf Rubbish Removal has guided countless homeowners and businesses to rent their first dumpster. Below are the four steps needed to make renting a dumpster successful for your project, from finding the right size to wrapping the project up.
Step 1: Estimating Needed Dumpster Size
First, you’re going to need to estimate the right-sized dumpster you need. It can be tempting to go with the smallest (and cheapest) option, but that can lead to issues down the line. Dumpsters are measured by the cubic yard, and one cubic yard can hold about five to six 13-gallon trash bags. Use that to help better estimate your project’s waste generation and find the right size.
Step 2: Contact LeBoeuf for a Quote
Next, you’ll want to contact us to get a quote. We offer multiple options to get ahold of us, including calling us at 508-764-6677 or using our Contact Form. Once we learn more about you and your project, from where you’re located to what sized dumpster you might need, we’ll work up a quote. Once you’ve signed and paid, we’ll get that dumpster on the way to you!
Step 3: Readying to Receive Your Dumpster
Before your dumpster arrives, make sure you’ve got space for it on level ground that can be accessed by a truck. You want space all around it for access, including to open the access doors for moving in larger debris or waste. You don’t even need to be there for the drop-off! Just mark the location with a cone, chair, trash cart, or our favorite—chalk.
Step 4: Filling The Dumpster
Once you’ve got your dumpster, it’s time to put it to use! Make sure you’re aware of what’s allowed to be disposed of in a dumpster. Much of the same requirements for your residential waste are also included with a dumpster, with the notable exception of construction materials allowed in the dumpster. Make sure not to overfill your dumpster (including overweight); otherwise, that can result in additional fees.
