In this blog, we will go over 5 frequently asked questions to help you better understand our operations.

#1: Is There a Holiday Delay?

If your pickup day is on or after any of the following six major holidays, there will be a one-day delay in your pickup.

• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

#2: Is This My Pickup Week?

We assign all bi-weekly trash and recycling customers to an A-WEEK or B-WEEK schedule. You can view that schedule here. You can also keep track of any holiday delays through this schedule.

#3: Do We Pick Up Mattresses/Box Springs?

Both mattresses and box springs are prohibited from disposal in Massachusetts and Connecticut as they are difficult to manage in landfills and can be disassembled and recycled. There are a few ways to get your mattresses disposed of in MA and CT that are more environmentally cautious.

Mattress Disposal in Massachusetts

If you place your mattress by the curb with your regular garbage, it will not be picked up by our trucks. To dispose of a mattress, you can either find a donation center/recycling program or find a retailer haul-away if you are purchasing a new mattress. Many charities accept mattress in good condition, and you can find a center near you here.

Mattress Disposal in Connecticut

Stewardship laws are in place for mattresses to maintain sustainable recycling. The Bye Bye Mattress programis offered to provide easy disposal, with over 135 drop-off locations.

#4: Do We Offer Bulk Item Pickup?

Yes, we do offer bulk item pickup to all towns we service, but you must be a current residential customer. We pick up the following items: white goods appliances, couches/recliners, tables, chairs, televisions, bookshelves, exercise equipment, toilets, and more.

How Does Bulk Item Pickup Work?

• Contact LeBoeuf: Reach out to us! You can call us or use the form on our contact page.
• Pre-pay for Pickup: Once we discuss the items you need picked up, we will give you an estimate on pricing. This will help you determine if bulk item pickup is best for you, or if a dumpster rental would be more efficient.
• Bring Items to Curb: Items must be brought out to the curb, where we can access them with our truck. Please do not block your bin with items.

#5: How Can I Pay My Bill?

We recommend enrolling in autopay, which allows for automatic deductions from your account. Each month, you will still receive an emailed statement. You can also make payments online at TrashBilling.com using the 12-digit account number on your statement.

If you prefer to stay away from online payments, you can make your payment over the phone, mail us a check, or stop by our office with a cash payment. Please bring exact change, as we do not keep cash on hand.
